The following links are some of our favorite National Resource Websites.  Many of these organizations will not only give you access to great information and publications; but they will also refer you to resources, services, support groups and educational programs available in your geographic area.  Just click on the name of the organization and you will be directed to their website.  

Alzheimer's Association - a national voluntary health organization focusing on care, support and research for Alzheimer's disease

American Cancer Society - a national organization dedicated to  cancer research, education, advocacy and service

American Diabetes Association - a national association working to fight the deadly consequences of diabetes and to help those affected by the disease

American Dietetic Association - the United States largest organization of food and nutrition professionals

American Lung Association - a non-profit organization that fights lung disease with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and air quality 

American Heart Association - a national agency whose mission is:  "Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke"  

Muscular Dystrophy Association - this Association is dedicated to extending support to individuals and families affected by ALS through a wide variety of services 

National Organization on Disability - their mission is: " to expand the participation and contribution of America's 54 million men, women and children with disabilities through programs and information "

American Society on Aging -  provides publications and educational opportunities geared to enhance the knowledge and skills of people working with older adults and their families

Hospice Association of America -  a national organization representing caregivers and volunteers who serve terminally ill patients and their families

American Stroke Association -  their sole focus is reducing disability and death from stroke through research, education, fundraising and advocacy 

American Psychiatric Association - the main professional organization of psychiatrists and trainee psychiatrists in the United States, and the most influential worldwide

National Area Agencies on Aging - their fundamental mission is to provide services which make it possible for older individuals to remain in their home

National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys - information, education, networking and assistance to those who deal with issues involving elder care legal services and individuals with special needs

National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers - a national network of organizations and individuals dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons

International Cemetery and Funeral Association -  answers questions about funeral and cemetery arrangements, cremation, grief and other issues related to end of life

Jewish Funeral Directors of America - they guide, support and aid their members in honoring the deceased and confronting the bereaved by preserving, promoting and practicing the customs and traditions of the Jewish funeral

National Indian Council on Aging - a national organization formed to advocate for improved, comprehensive health  and social services to American Indians and Alaska Native Elders 

National Hispanic Council on Aging - working to improve the lives of Hispanic adults, their families and their communities

National Council on Aging - dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons and increasing their continuing contributions to community, society and future generations

National Guardianship Association - promoting a nationally recognized standard of excellence in guardianship

National Family Caregiving Association - supports, empowers, educates and speaks up for the more than 50 million Americans who care for a chronically ill, aged or disabled loved one

HealthLinks- world wide directory service for healthcare professionals and consumers
